manually updating an installed pbi prog ?

Hi,
Can i manually update a program installed via pbi ?
I installed Midnight Commander (version 4.7.0). Now the Update Manager tells me there is a new version : 4.7.0.2_1. But in the Update Managers window this update doesn't show. So no way to click Update either.
Is there a easy way to update MC or do i deinstall and reinstall ?

Yes it's simply deinstall it and download the new version and install it each PBI has a deinstaller usually it's the script named PBI.RemoveScript.sh you can use the app named add/delete software that you can find in the System Preferences also.

Deinstalling and re-installing the new version is what i eventually did. But I was hoping there was possibly another solution.
