Default Refresh rate config
I have installed PC-BSD 7.1.1 on
P4 Dual Core 2.5Ghz processor
ASUS Mobo P5KPL-AM/PS
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA 7200 GS Graphic card on board 256MB
15" Samsung 540N LCD Monitor
Everything works fine. I am so glad that I did not have to configure a lot of stuff. But when I checked the refresh rate of my monitor the highest it is giving me is 52Hz when I can do 75Hz. Please help me get better refresh rates. I also installed the NVIDIA driver that came with it. There is an updated driver but I have not yet installed it.
Another question is where can I get updates to manually download them? Where does the software updater download the updates to? Is it /var/ ?

The onboard Intel graphics chip works 1024x768@75Hz!!!!
