Default xrandr doesn't resize desktop
Hi,
I'm trying to get my Fujitsu ST5112 tablet pc working. I've been using Linux with it's predecessor, but this new machine has an Intel HDA/STAC9228 audio chip, and alsa can't handle it.

I'd be just as happy to run BSD, as I want to learn it. Sound is great, but I need the tablet working reliably as well, including rotation of the display and stylus.

I've installed 7.1.1, and get a display. I can find and use the xrandr tool. The 1024x768 screen becomes a 768x1024 screen. But the desktop does not resize. Instead, the taskbar is 1/4 of the way up from the bottom, and the desktop extends off the display. The screen does not scroll.

Chipset is an Intel 945GM.

Is this supposed to work, or should I look elsewhere?

Thanks,
bcw

You may try the same question on the KDE for FreeBSD mailing list, as PC-BSD is just KDE on FreeBSD.
