System sounds work, but cd's won't play
Hi All,
I'm pretty new to the BSD/'nix environment, and tried loading .8.2 on my Dell 4600 for something to do. I've spent several hours now mucking around trying to get cds to play using KsCD with no luck. Tried the help files, no help; KsCD will see the cd and tag info, but no music is forthcoming. System sounds seem to work fine. Only idea I have is the drives are configured wrong. This is my /etc/fstab file:
# File Auto-Generated by PC-BSD from /PCBSD/conf/fstab.orig
# Device Mountpoint FStype Options Dump Pass#
/dev/ad0s2b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/ad0s2a / ufs rw 1 1
/dev/ad0s1 /mnt/ad0s1 ntfs ro,noauto 0 0
/dev/acd0 /mnt/cdrom cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0
/dev/acd1 /mnt/cdrom1 cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0
acd0 is the dvd-rom and acd1is cd-rw. any ideas?
