Default Spam in the Forums
People keep spamming the forums with advertisements. Maybe we should add new moderators to the forums to prevent this crap. It's really annoying and if you are one of the people doing this I think you should get a life because the one you have right now is obviously s**t.

I agree.
The moderators need to check the forum more often now that we have a spam problem. Delete the spam and the users who post it.

I'm reporting about 7 spam posts daily.

I'd be willing to help to remove them.

It's like non stop. I wish we could just spam them instead. It's like they have NO LIFE. Wait they don't have a life because THEY'RE NOT REAL. They're freaking spam bots. However I got the perfect solution, enable e-mail activation by installing a mail server on the host (eg: Sendmail, Postfix, Exim.), since most spambot scripts use fake or randomly generated names on real e-mail providers, the e-mails will mostly never be successfully routed to them.
Also they appear to be using optical character recognition so that may explain why the CAPTCHAs don't prevent them from accessing the forum.

I think that it would actually help to replace a few of the moderators. They're hardly ever on.
Also the board should probably be updated. See here for a comparison.

I own and operate a forum which has a monthly bandwidth consumption of over 250gigs.

I must say that I am surprised by the moderators/administrators on this forum allowing spam to remain on the forum for significantly extended periods of time.

Really, there needs to be some improvement in this area.

Eliminating spam is relatively easy if one initiates the strategies.
