Load PC-BSD onto a flash drive - PC-BSD Forums

Is it possible to load PC-BSD onto a flash drive and then boot up any computer that has the ability to boot from the USB port?
I am new to PC-BSD and have not installed it yet.

If your flash drive is big enough, I would try downloading the PC-BSD DVD and use unetbootin to get it on the flash and make it bootable.

Unetbootin Is pretty straight forward. Google it and try it out.

Yes, it is.

An easy way is to install from a PCBSD DVD and point the installation towards the FlashDrive. Make sure you set the drive bootable.
