Skype PBI is broken

The new Skype PBI (2.0.0.72) that came out today is broken.


First of all it requires root access to start the application.
Second, it immediately crashes with this message:

/Programs/Skype2.0.0.72/share/skype/skype: error while loading shared libraries: 
/Programs/Skype2.0.0.72/autolibs/libc.so.6: ELF file OS ABI invalid

I was able to get this to work by deleting the offending lib.

However, this is still broken in that I have to give my root password just to start the app.
