Default Out of disk space error should stop the installation
I've just tried to install PC-BSD 7 and when it ran out of disk space there was just a message beside the package name being installed and the installation kept going nevertheless.

I assume that the appropriated behavior would be to notify the user and to stop the installer.

After all, it'd be nice if the required disk space could be predicted disallowing the user to proceed without enough disk space.

Totally agreed. I encountered the same behaviour which was frustrating and time-wasting.

Another user in agreement here! Took 5 attempts to install under VirtualBox!

Installer asks for 4GB free but this is nonsense. You need 5.3 GB for a bare bones install + Firefox. Then you need 2x your memory size for swap space, so even 6GB is not enough!

3GB is enough for me to install most Linux distributions including Firefox, OpenOffice, GIMP... So why on earth does PC-BSD need double that???
