Averatec 5400
I have been trying to install PC-BSD on this laptop sice .75 and haven't been able to do so. It freezes at the 'starting installation' screen. When I try logging, it shows that it is stopping after trying to detect the USB controller. I have changed various settings in the BIOS and nothing I do helps. I have a feeling that this is just a bad laptop to use for PC-BSD and would love to either have a work around to get this to work or give me some brand name of laptops that PC-BSD works on. Linux can have problems on this one too. I have no problem using PC-bsd on my desktops.
