It depends on Linux kernel. It is "open source" with hidden binary blobs which are Linux kernel specific. I tried to port it for OpenBSD. What could you expect from PC hackers. Whole Linux camp is worse than the M$ when it comes to drivers and standards. Just recall what they are doing with ALSA crappy standard. Bill Gates is baby comparing to that madness.
