Default PS2 Mouse not working in PCBSD 9
Hi,
I have a Logitech PS2 mouse. It used to work well in 8 but it wont work anymore in 9. I am left with using a usb cordless mouse. The usb mouse works without any issues.

What is the solution ?

Default Enable dbus and hald .
Make sure you have dbus and hald enabled in your rc.conf file and you should be good to go. Beyond that I'm not sure I could help you.

code:

dbus_enable="YES"
hald_enable="YES"

As root you could run sysinstall from the command line and enter the post install configuration option. You can reconfigure your ps/2 mouse from there by selecting the mouse port and protocol and testing until you get it working.

I checked the rc.conf file, both were selected as YES.
I dont think I am knowledgeable enough to use sysinstall.
I will just buy a usb mouse.

Thanks for your reply.

Tried configuring using sysinstall. Everything was already selected with the correct options. Still I tried reselecting the options but nothing worked.
Please rectify this bug in RC2.
