App Cafe
Our Desktop / Software model is quite different from your
run-of-the-mill Linux / BSD desktop, for stability/sanity reasons

Synaptic and Appcafe are really different. The fact is AppCafe exploits PBI, that is the new PCBSD package format, while base stuff is installed using FreeBSD package format (pkg_* commands). There are some packge GUI frontends, like this based on GTK+, that could allow you to see all FreeBSD-style packages.

I tried installing that program by this command in a terminal:
|
Code:
|
hg clone https://code.google.com/p/bxpkg/ |
This is wat i get:

Quote:
|
|
hg: command not found

you need to install the Mercurial PBI (AppCafe > Development > Mercurial > *install* OR AppCafe > search for Mercurial > *install*).
cheers!

I did a search in AppCafe and found ToroiseHg. I'll try this...

App Cafe
In your shell, did you run "rehash" before trying the "hg" command again?

App Cafe
It just rescans for commands in your PATH, so if you install a new
command it'll make it work without typing the full pathname, like
/usr/local/bin/hg
