There is a FreeBSD port for net/mediatomb, but it is currently listed on Freshports as: IGNORE: cannot install: does not work with MySQL version 41 (MySQL 41 not supported)

I could go ahead and build a PBI module, but it looks like the PBI will not actually build unless the port gets some updates/fixes first. You might want to contact the port maintainer to see when it will be getting updated.

Hi,

I 've looked in Appcafé that Mediatomb .pbi is just arrived.
So i 've tried to install it.

I clicked on "install", downloading it. At 93 % of download (some try), it stopped.

No log.
Help!
Can you test it?

It looks like the repo-information for this PBI was not flagged as needing root permissions to install, when it actually does. I just fixed it in svn here, so it should be fixed in the AppCafe once the mirrors synchronize the info (usually 24 hours). Until then, you can just run (as root) "pbi_add -r mediatomb" from the command line to download and install it.

Sorry about that!

I am not sure about that at the moment. My guess would be to add something to your user's <home-dir>/.xprofile script, since that is automatically run when you log in to the system.

Maybe add
Mediatomb_Enable="YES"

in etc/rc.conf would start mediatomb as PCBSD start up
