Default Firefox 15.0 pbi hangs on flash sites
Looks like flash is broken and causing firefox to hang indefintely with today's update. Running firefox from a terminal and then accessing a flash enabled site yields the following error:

/usr/pbi/firefox-amd64/lib/firefox/plugin-container: Undefined symbol "XRE_InitChildProcess"
/usr/pbi/firefox-amd64/lib/firefox/plugin-container: Undefined symbol "XRE_InitChildProcess"

oh, and it looks like I can't go back to any 14.X version and the 10.0.1 version advertised in the pbi repos isn't fetchable. *sigh*

Help?

Does this command fix the error (run it as your regular user)?

flashpluginctl on

Default Firefox 15.0 pbi hangs on flash sites
You can grab the old 14.x version here:

ftp://ftp.pcbsd.org/pub/pbioutgoing/x64/9/www/firefox/archived/
or
ftp://ftp.pcbsd.org/pub/pbioutgoing/x32/9/www/firefox/archived/
<ftp://ftp.pcbsd.org/pub/pbioutgoing/x64/9/www/firefox/archived/>

Also, 15.0.1 is in ports, and we are building the PBI of it now, it may
fix the issue.

I tested with some YouTube videos & your code seems to fix the freeze problem. However, some error messages get generated re qtcurve:

IR@ir_255r] ~> flashpluginctl on

Flash Plugin for user 'IR' enabled

[IR@ir_255r] ~> firefox

(process:78379): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.

(npviewer.bin:78379): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "qtcurve"

Also having Firefox flash problems. Uninstalled FireFox via AppCafe and was planning on reinstalling it, but noticed that when you remove Firefox, it is no longer listed in AppCafe, even searched for it in AppCafe and did not find it.

So I went to the links above to try to install Firefox 14, but they are gone from there = maybe because Firefox 15.1 is building now, it pushed out Firefox 14 and made Firefox 15.0 the new 'old' version?

Anyway, I did find
Code:
firefox-15.0.1-amd64.pbi
in a folder around those links above, looks like it might have installed successfully, but still hanging/flash problems it seems, I think = still a newbie, LoL.

Thank you very much everyone for all your help.

Update:
I tried your code with 15.0.1 Dru, but it didn't seem to help, then I entered
Code:
flashpluginctl off
but Firefox's Flash is still pretty sickly, LoL.

No, this didn't help. Allthough, I'm glad its there as I can now turn off flash so I can avoid flash lockups.
