Besides the great desktop shown by purgatori, I really appreciate having emacs in front of other windows

Thanks Emacs is probably the closest thing I have to a desktop environment. I use it for just about everything -- although I'm still waiting on a couple of packages to appear in the Appcafe before I can use it for all the stuff I used to (browsing the web, and listening to music).
