Intel 3d video is definitely broken. Can’t select resolution at all.
Same thing here (I know I said vesa up above but it's the Intel 3D BS). I've
now seen it so many times that my eyes hurt just thinking about it. So that
is NOT a new thing with the 9-STABLE. It's doing it to me now with 9.0. I would
give this a try man but I have a parent that has to have a running
system like "now". So, it's looking like tomorrow I get to spend day #3 of
my life over there again. Joy joy! This time I won't be up until 2am banging my
head against a wall that should have been torn down years ago. I will
probably just install Fedora in about 30 minutes, save myself the aneurysm
and call it done. So far I've turned about 5 people on to pcbsd and pcbsd has
turned all but one of them off completely.

One last question, Kris...

If any of your PERSONAL machines required a driver other than 290.10 those
drivers would be properly handled wouldn't they? You wouldn't just include
the 290.10 (and ONLY IT) and make it impossible to get any other driver from
the system manager or to install one via ports... would you? That would effect
you PERSONALLY wouldn't it?

Because it's the "Kris Moore Show!" right? It's all you, all day, every day. Your
personal systems work so F everybody else right? Everybody else is just a n00b
that has no clue and isn't worthy of your time right?

Good bye Kris and good luck preaching your personal desktop to the empty
pews.

Default NVidia driver installation on PCBSD 9 rc 3 beta
While I'm usually tempted to ignore rage like this, I did want to
respond to why only the latest driver was included. First, we have had a
number of issues with the "legacy" drivers working with newer Xorg
releases. I'll take a look into it again to see if that is still the
case, but honestly, how old is too old? Should we support the mga
drivers also? At some point we run into an issue of diminishing returns,
and the effort required to make some 8-10+ year old card work isn't
worth it.

Talking
@Ememem:
You won't be missed.

By the way, is it ironic or explicitly accurate that 'ememem' chose the name Me Me Me, spelled backwards, LoL.
