Default Nvidia-Intel Hybrid card
İs there anyone who have Optimus technology included laptop? If yes, what is the way to use this hybrid graphic card as expected and what about your laptop temperature?

I believe that support for Nvidia's Optimus Technology has been added, however there may still be some issues with it.

See here for more information: http://forums.pcbsd.org/showthread.php?t=14782

There is no support for the nvidia GPU on Optimus laptops. That other thread is simply about getting the on-board Intel GPU working.

Unfortunately that is the only option available to users of Optimus laptops.

Default Nvidia-Intel Hybrid card
I have a nvidia Optimus hybrid laptop here, and the intel driver works fine, and the nvidia driver. There just isn't support for both at the same time, have to pick the default you want to use in the bios. This is in the snapshot btw.

If you have the option in the BIOS, then it's not really Optimus. On Optimus laptops, the nvidia GPU isn't even wired to the display, but instead it processes the 3D data and sends it to the Intel GPU over the PCI bus.

Unfortunately there is not an option to enable or disable. Now I m on Arch and my laptop is about 65-70 Celsius. How is it about yours who uses Optimus on PC-BSD?

I downloaded the live usb and live dvd as an accident . With live USB it was about 60 Celcius.
Now ,downloadig the USBFULL img. And will try install it to my laptop. I have Windows 8, Bridge Linux(based on Arch) and Sabayon (Gentoo based distro). Saying goodbye to Sabayon and lets see what is going to happen with PC-BSD.
