Default Ultra long installation time!
Hi everybody.
I have a ASUS G51Vx, Core 2 Duo 2000 and 4GB DDR2 which had Win 7 (a long ago, its default Vista) and Ubuntu 1x.x installed on it.
Last night I began to install Isotope using my entire hard disk and gnome+ports. Now it's took 12 hours and just 33% has progressed.
Last week I used its optical drive and USB, they worked well.

Why is that so? What shall I do?

Thanks for your attention

Just a noob here, but same thing happened to me during my 1st install yesterday. Download hash matched and image burn validation indicated all good. After several hours, install was still only 10% done. I aborted install, burned a new image from the original download iso and second install took 30 minutes or so. Might be worth a try.
