Default pidgin-twitter
pidgin-twitter is a pidgin plugin which provides a lot of useful features to the users who use pidgin as a front end to post and read twitter messages. pidgin-twitter supports Twitter, Wassr, identi.ca, Jisko and FriendFeed.

The port location is net-im/pidgin-twitter

Rather than make a separate PBI for this, I think it would make sense to include the pidgin-twitter plugin with the Pidgin PBI. Are there any objections to that?

Actually, I just did some looking, and the current pidgin PBI already
includes the twitter plugin by default. Its not enable at first in
pidgin, but if you go to tools -> plugins in pidgin, you'll see it there
and it seems to work

Can some of you twitter users give that a shot?

Not sure if I'm doing something very wrong as new to the new kde, but enabled the plugin.

Haven't used it before, but having enabled it I can't see how to use it.

You can enter your user name, but no password.

If you go to add account then the twitter/identica account options have not been added.

I have the pidgin-twitter plugin, but I can't figure out how on Earth it's supposed to work.

Is anyone actually maintaining it?

Finally got it to work by manually installing mbpurple.

The plugin doesn't install mbpurple by default. That needs fixing.

Thanks for catching that. I just added net-im/mbpurple to the pidgin PBI, so the plugin should work properly once the PBI rebuilds.
