Default Which sound card?
So it seems that my SoundBlaster Audigy card is not supported by freebsd.
(If I am wrong please inform me).

I am not looking for great sound, just ... sound.

What card would be recommended?

Thanks,

Bill

Smile Check with the supported hardware list.
That should give you an idea of the hardware that you can choose from.

Turns out I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme card.

This is not supported by open sound system(actually crashed my system).

I will just buy a SB Live or Audigy these both should work and they are cheap.
