Default Need Sun Java on PCBSD 9 for fussy app
I have an app that refuses to run on anything except Sun Java. Oracle only supply Windows, Solaris and Linux downloads. The PCBSD 8.x PBI obviously won't install on PCBSD 9.

What are my options? Is there any way to install Sun Java on PCBSD 9?

If there is no PBI your next best option is to use the FreeBSD ports.

Have a look here.

Thanks. I just found it in ports and compiled it. After downloading all the non-free dependencies it compiled OK and worked.

Didn't help my application though (OpenDJ). The darn thing then complained that the version of Java I had was too old.
