Default Thinkpad acpi_ibm setup
hi all --

thanks for taking a look at this. i'm using 9.0-RELEASE on a Thinkpad X61. it's mostly great, but i'd really like to start being able to do a few things.

1) suspend/resume (i know, i know -- this one is a big long-shot).

2) function keys. at the moment, without trying some (currently unknown) command line fu, i can't adjust the screen brightness on the laptop.

3) fan control. the X61 is an ultra-portable, and i've read that these types of laptops generally tend to run a little warm, but the fan is either going strong or going *STRONG*.

i know that all of these things are *sorta* start with loading acpi_ibm, and run through sysctl and devd, but i'm getting a little lost in the running part. is there anyone around who might be interested in giving some pointers re tweaking some of this?

thanks a bunch!
