Default gnome and keyboard layout shortcut
So apparently RC2 broke KDE. Okay, I decide to use GNOME until RC3. I added my secondary layout, and when I try to set the shortcut to switch between layouts, "settings..." button, the window just closes. I think it has to do something with the KDE not working, as I cannot open any KDE apps.

This is a nuisance, because I don't want to click in the system tray every time I want to switch a layout.

Also, the post on the blog was misleading. It should have outright said 9.0-RC2 breaks KDE and makes it unusable. Now I have to use the incomplete GNOME for weeks until RC3 comes out.

Try this:

# rm -rf /var/tmp/kdecache-*

This fixed the issue of starting KDE apps in GNOME, but I still cannot access the settings for the Keyboard shortcuts. As soon as I click the button, the window closes.

Well I am retarded. I didn't read the blog that removing the cache also allows KDE to load...

Issue is now irrelevant. Cheers.
