Hi,

I just installed the wireshark 1.4.6 i386 pbi, and when I try to run it, I get this error in the console :

Shared object "lipcap.so.7" not found, requiered by "wireshark".

I think it's more a PBI issue than a port issue. I'm going to try the others versions available on the FTP.

This has been fixed in the module for wireshark. Once the PBI rebuilds, it should work again.
BTW, I noticed that this error is non-existant on the 64-bit version, so try giving that a shot if you have a 64-bit install of PCBSD 9.0

Sadly I can't use the 64 bit version, I'm trying the beta in a virtual machine on a 32 bit host. I wanted to use wireshark to find why I'm having troubles with AppCafe on this install ^^

It can help but it's not the right way to fix the problem

The missing library for the wireshark PBI has been fixed with the latest release (version 1.6.2). It should be available in the AppCafe within 24 hours.
