Can we update the Eclipse to 3.6 or even better 3.6.1?

There is an Eclipse-devel port with version 3.6.1. I'll put in on my to-do list.

This port has a Java dependency that isn't building on my system. Might have to come back to this later....

I've created a module for the new Eclipse version. We'll see if it builds cleanly and go from there.

I built Eclipse 3.6 from ports more than a week ago and have been using it no problem. Why is it not in pbi yet?

I would like to bring this back up since eclipse is now at 3.7. Some of the plugins are not updating for 3.5 anymore so it would be really great if the pbi could be updated.

Hi all. Sorry for the radio silence. I just checked the build log and found there is a problem with the Eclispe port. I think something was updated upstream that hasn't been synced with ports yet. I'm going to try to correct this so we can try again.

Quick update: It looks like Eclipse-devel, which had been the most recent version, is now marked as broken in the Ports Collection. I'm going to take a look at Eclipse and see why it's not building a PBI package.

I believe the files for 3.6 were updated but not their sizes and checksums. I refreshed my portsjail and was finally able to build it on Friday in there. So I have 3.6 now, it just looks really ugly(old school GTK+ theme don't knwo hwo to fix it yet). I'll have to see about learning how to do PBI's soon so I can help out.
