Default README Before Starting a Thread
This forum is designed for FreeBSD ports maintainers to announce new or upgraded ports that are looking for testers. If you are a ports committer, include details in your thread about where to get the port, any known caveats, and any special instructions you would like to give to testers. Please subscribe to the threads you start so you can be notified of any feedback that occurs on your forum threads.

Ports testers are encouraged to respond to threads in order to let ports maintainers know of any usage problems (or lack thereof). Once the testing is completed for a port, the PBI can be created (if it doesn't exist) or updated (if an existing PBI is not the latest port version).

Hi Dru,

Why there are no threads yet in this section?
Are the FreeBSD port maintainers not interested in PC-BSD?

No.. that is not the issue. I think that this space is simply available for those Port maintainers and Port testers to use as an option, a way within the pcbsd forums site to communicate. This is only one of many other methods which may cause this to be seen as redundant but it may also not be widely known. Usually porters or port maintainers have their own wiki, cvs/svn site page or homepage to post updates and other commentary on their progress. So a lack of activity in this space should not be looked at in a bad light.
