No internet connection?

I guess I am impatient, when I couldn't try out PC-BSD 8 on my main computer, temperarily I hope, I decided to load it onto my sandbox which had been running PC-BSD 1.5. Well it loaded fine and is running well, but I cannot access the internet with it. It can see my router and has obtained an IP address from it (DHCP), but no connection past that. I tried ping and there is definite response from the router. I think that it ia a firewall problem, but I cannot find in the documentation here how to allow it through. The auto update also cannot connect. Hope someone can help with this

Hi all. I have fixed this problem, I remember doing this fix with one of the Linux versions I tried out some years ago, I just had to adjust the time limit for connecting to the server from 20 seconds to 60 seconds and I was able to connect to the internet, must be somethig to do with my slow internet connection.
