Default Making a "perfect" operation system
Well these are my ideas.

I understand that Pcbsd is a new project with great potential and I know that sometimes it is more difficult to maintain a project than starting it.

I wanted to express my opinion in the points that an system operation should fullfill in order to become a perfect one.I want to connect my opinion relating it to Pcbsd OS.

A perfect OS should fill these basic areas:

- Free (PCbsd yes)
- Easy Installation procedure (PCbsd yes)
- Lot of packages (PCbsd yes via ports)
- Easy installation of packages (PCbsd yes, better than Linux and ideal for a newbie)
- Easy configuration (Pcbsd no , unless you are a BSD expert. A simple control center would be great for configuring, network, display, sound, usb drive, security)
- Hardware support (Pcbsd no but it is hardware producer fault)
- Easy update of the system (I guess someone can update its system through ports or not?!)
-Security Configuration (PCbsd no, but it can be done throgh a third part package)

Well these are my points from a newbie user in Pcbsd. I hope we can discuss in this area.

But I would like to thank the develepors for their work and it would be great if this project could be sponsored by a univerisity or company so that the developrs could have more time to work in it)

Welcome to PC-BSD

Here is list what you can expect of PC-BSD 0.8:

- Add custom partitioning to the PC-BSD installer.
- Develop an update manager which can be used to update the system to the latest release without reinstall.
- Creation of QT based control-panel, which lets users configure things such as printers, network cards, sound, etc.

sure that we can except this from 0.8? that would be great. RESPECT!

i mean, it would be a tempo that it is maybe too fast because there could creep too many mistakes in the system, or not? i don´t know, i´m not a programmer

Just an FYI. I've gone ahead and updated the wishlist. I just moved around some of the release stuff. I decided to put back releasing the control panel / update manager for 1 release, since its going to take a fairly significant ammount of time to finish development, and I felt the "multilingual" aspect of the software was more important right now, so we can find any bugs that might crop up from that. Also 0.8 has a finished "Partition" manager during the install, so now you can customize your setup. If you want to simply install a nice FreeBSD 5.4 server with the PC-BSD software, you can do so, simply partition it the way you want it, then remove KDE, or customize to your hearts delight
