Default cpu overload, aborting sound issue
I've just installed PC-BSD on my new Compaq 1750NX. Of course the sound card is unsupported by FreeBSD.(I never got it working on my old computer either) I installed the OSS driver according to instructions and now I get this error: "cpu overload, aborting" The sound system will not start, it hangs, shows the error, then keeps cycling though the status bar.

Any ideas? Why doesn't FreeBSD have better support for integrated sound cards?
