cdrom freezes system on mount

cdrom freezes system on mount

when i try to mount any cd in PCBSD, the cd drive starts to read the cd for a second or so, then the system hangs, and i have to do a manual restart.

i am using pcbsd 1 RC1.

is there a fix for this? on windowsXP my cddrive works fine.

its a samsung cdrw drive
