Default boot screens
Hi, im new to changing the boot screen but can anyone help me with this simple question??? I've tried a few different boot screens and all of the picture looks rubbish...really pixely, small range od colours just really basic.

Is this simply because at this stage windows hasnt started yet and therefore a computer can only display images in a really basic way and there is nothing i can do about it???? or is it something to do with my settings... and i can have a nice looking boot screen?

1 more unrelated question- I'm trying to change the 'windows start' sound so that when windows starts it plays a 30 second sample of a song i like. However it will always cut out within the first 5 seconds. Is this just windows being gay and there's nothing i can do about it?? or can this be fixed?? Thanks 4 any help
