Default PCBSD 9 and skype
After installing PCBSD 9, got problem with skype... In audio setting (Control Center) it shows default sound device, in skype also default audio device... and no sound (skype only). In PCBSD 8.2 I could see pcm...etc

Here is output of dmesg:
dmesg | grep pcm
pcm0: <HDA Conexant CX20561 (Hermosa) PCM #0 Analog> at cad 0 nid 1 on hdac0
pcm1: <HDA Conexant CX20561 (Hermosa) PCM #1 Analog> at cad 0 nid 1 on hdac0
pcm2: <HDA NVidia MCP78 HDMI PCM #0 Digital> at cad 3 nid 1 on hdac0

and output of system info
FreeBSD 9.0-BETA3 FreeBSD 9.0-BETA3 #1: Tue Sep 27 13:47:21 PDT 2011 root@build9x64.pcbsd.org:/usr/obj/pcbsd-build90/fbsd-source/9.0/sys/GENERIC amd64

But in control center it says "default"

Is this problem is related to PCBSD 9 itself?
Thanks, Any suggestions appreciated

I also have the same problem with Skype. It says problem with audio playback whenever I try to do a test call.

Using 9.0 RC 1 and skype from AppCafe.

I, too, only have "Default device (default)" and no sound. Test call says cannot play sound, and other people can't call me, says problem with my sound on their Skype client. Using Skype from PBI, 2.2.0.25.

Code:
$ dmesg | grep pcm
pcm0: <HDA VIA VT1708B_1 PCM #0 Analog> at cad 0 nid 1 on hdac0
pcm1: <HDA VIA VT1708B_1 PCM #1 Digital> at cad 0 nid 1 on hdac0
Code:
$ uname -a
FreeBSD NEONZ 9.0-RC2 FreeBSD 9.0-RC2 #1: Mon Nov 14 10:24:41 PST 2011     root@build9x64.pcbsd.org:/usr/obj/builds/amd64/pcbsd-build90/fbsd-source/9.0/sys/GENERIC  amd64

I added linux-f10-alsa-plugins-oss from ports, Skype sees an additional device now (oss). When I select it - YES, I have a sound!!
Still no chance with microphone, but I did not test it in another application...

Default PCBSD 9 and skype
Good catch, I'll try adding that port to the PBI and see if it fixes the
issues
