Migrating from linux please help with zfs

I have been linux/unix user for years. I would like to try PCBSD. I have it installed on virtual machine. I would like to transfer it to a SSD. One of the issues that I expect to have is disk management.

I am used to gparted. Is there anything equivalent for pcbsd. (expand/shirnk fs) with gui interface.

can anyone guide me to a zfs wiki for PCPSD. Iwas not able to find one.

Thanks

You can use the CLI utility 'gpart', it's very intuitive IMHO. E.g.
Code:

gpart show
[shows your partitions on all disks]
gpart list
[even more detailed]
gpart add -t freebsd-zfs -a128k ada0
[adds a FreeBSD-ZFS partition with 128k alignment to your 1st HD]

Since you're an experienced Linux user you will be happy with it and maybe start writing a GUI for it.

For information on ZFS, do not crowl the net with "FreeBSD ZFS", your search engine will show too many results that distract you. Better 1st play around changing the default settings and ask again once you have problems ;)

And do not read
PC-BSD Bug Tracker: ZFS and heavy resource utilization, it contains very dangerous information that will most probably infect you with the ZFS virus!
