Konsole; can not enter text

Hi all,

I'm new on this Forum. Greetz to all.

I collected my new Asus 71L laptop yesterday, kicked off Windoze Vista 1st of all and installed PCBSD instead. Of course I ran into the screen resolution issue.
To correct for that I opened Konsole, but I can not enter text, i.e. hitting keys does not show in Konsole. Strange.

Suggestions anyone?

Considering that it would likely be that shell and locale/keymap specifics could effect things.


What happens if you log in from a vtty?

(press control+alt+F2, try to log in and use command prompt; pres control+alt+F5 to go back to desktop)

Have you tried to run the Display Setup Wizard from the start menu? Boot up and when the Welcome to PC-BSD menu comes up choose Display Setup Wizard. This will allow you to check and/or edited the display settings.
