Is there anything wrong with the FireFox .pbi Download?
I have downloaded 3 times from 3 different Locations @ Ark will not recognise them at all , I have also tried making them executable & also tried justy right clicking on them and they just come up as binaries.
Anyne got any ideas?

Just to clarify, the proper way to install a PBI you've downloaded is simply to click on it. The PBI installer will be launched and talk you through the installation process.

thanks & I understandand that but you either double click or right click file
(same thing) & nothing works.
usually I dont have much of a problem with .pbi but every now and then one pops up that doesnt work or get recognised.
the .pbis use ark by default which is why I also stated it wasn't recognising it.
I have tried different ways and nothing works for firefox.
anyway

Strange, perhaps your system didn't download it properly? Can happen sometimes if you get an unexpected connection drop.

Just FYI, it installed without any issues on my machines.

Thanks I might try again tomorrow after reboot.
I actually burned a fair few .pbi packages to disk which I had on 0.7 etc & most were fine except for 2 of them & one was firefox,so I am not sure why ?
I think there is still one more download site for firefox I havn't tried yet so I might try that one tomorrow.
AnyWay thanks for trying to help much appreciated.
At least I know no one else seems to be having this problem I think so I will hopefully sort it out soon'

gz's use ark by default, which was how pbis were downloaded from the old pbi site. Now they are just .PBI files and open the installer by default.

So if you've changed the .pbi file extension to open up ark everytime it's not going to work.

Thanks Shawn 4 advice but no I didnt change anything .
I first try double clicking on .pbi I have downloaded which usually opens up ark etc ,but if it doesnt then I open ark myself to see if it recognises the .pbi &if the .pbi is there then what ever .pbis are there will usually work but if its not there then it means there is something wrong with the file.
I have a firefox .pbi on disk as well & it does nothing if I click on it & ark recognises all the other .PBIs except firefox & maybe one or 2 others I had problems with as well ,so it is not just firefox my system has had problems with.

It's really odd, but I have seen .PBI files that need to be moved to another dir to start installing. I've not used 0.8 long enough to notice it, but I could see no rhyme or reason for it. Sometimes i just moved them to my desctop and they ran. This could be a "random" type thing with the PBI installer though, and the moving bit has nothing to do with it.
