Hi all,
I have recently bought a compaq presario c702tu notebook. Its tech-specs are:

Processor - Intel® Celeron® processor technology M530 1.73Ghz, 1MB L2 Cache, 533Mhz FSB
Graphics - Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
Graphics Memory - 128MB Shared
Display Panel - 15.4? Bright View WXGA 1280x800
Standard Memory - 512MB
Hard Drive - 80GB (5400rpm)
Optical Drive - DVD±RW with Double Layer Support
Networking/Wireless - High speed 56K modem, integrated 10/100 LAN, 802.11b/g WLAN

Please tell me if PC-BSD is compatible with my notebook. Then I will try installing it.

Burn a copy of FreeSBIE or RoFreeSBIE to a RW disk, boot from disk, and see if FreeBSD recognizes your hardware.

There was work on a LiveCD version of PC-BSD, but I haven't seen any mention of it lately...
