Screen stays black after install

I have tried to install on 2 different systems... screen goes black after reboot at end of install. Nothing will bring it alive. Need help

You can't see initial video configuration screen after reboot?

have this problem also. I installed fine, went to reboot, heard a strange noise, saw garbled text and now I have no video at all. I see no post info, I see just a blank dead screen.

Is it possible PC-BSD killed my video card or monitor ? I seriously doubt it but is it possible?
I installed on a Lenovo 3000 N200 notebook.
I have another Lenovo N200 but I'm just a bit scared to try now.
