Is there any way to get a broader "start" button and the old devilish icon back?
Personally I think the button is to small (tiny KDE standard).

As far as changing the icon, you just have to replace the image wherever it occurs in wherever the system icons are stored (this can be a pain in the arse, as their are all these instances of different sizes you have to replace). Make sure your new image has the same name as the ones you replace, or this will not work. I don't know how to get a broader button though. I hope you get a better answer than mine, because I too wish to have a broader button!

According to the KDE/Kicker manual it should be placed in /.kde/share/apps/kicker/pics under your home directory. Problem is that PC-BSD seems to use a different location... :) (it doesn't exist)

After some searching, I found where the icons on PC-BSD are stored. Go to '/usr/local/share/icons/crystalsvg'. You should see many folders with names denoting different sizes and a folder marked "scalable". Inside each of those folders is a different-sized graphic of your current KMenu icon. You'll need to replace it with your desired icon, making sure the name and size match that of the original icon. You might want to use the File Finder to find all instances of the graphic "kmenu", because you'll be FOREVER otherwise.

PBI to replace new PC-BSD logo with official FBSD logo can now be downloaded/tested (http://dev.pcbsd.org/pbi/FreeBSDTheme1.0-PV1.0.pbi).
