Hi all, in searching for a result myself I have seen many people ask how to setup dual screen on a Radeon 9600 card. I managed to get it to work this morning and thought I should share it with everyone.

You may need to change screen resolution and HorizSync/VertRefresh to suit your own monitors before it will work properly.

The following section is the contents of my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file for PC-BSD 1.4 beta with dual screen. Please note that I was unable to have PC-BSD running with this card from install. (refer to post http://forums.pcbsd.org/viewtopic.php?t=9341&highlight=)

Take a look to http://pastebin.ca/696495

With only one option on your default setup:
Option "CRT2Position" "RightOf" # [<str>]

you have a Pseudo-Xinerama with 3D and DRI on 2 screens.

MergedFB (Merged Framebuffer or Pseudo-Xinerama) run on ATI and Matrox cards
