KMail is probably running.

Try killing it.

kill-all kmail

Hi

Ah that worked
Before i had tried killall kmail instead
But it didnt work i must have used caps on or something
It did not work with that Dash you gave me though

So i did it with out the dash

Thank You

As a side note, when you use ps on a FreeBSD machine, you might want to do something like:

ps -xaf

to make sure you see all of the running processes.

There's always the man page, too, to see what options are available. Some are different than on Linux, I believe.

For what it's worth, there is a nice graphical process viewer in Start - System - KSysGuard - you can view different types of processes and a tree view as well. I'm getting too lazy these days and sort of expect BOTH console and GUI tools. The day I never have to open a text editor to get some core OS functionality working, like screen resolution, driver configs, process management etc, is the day I'll ask it to marry me...... I'm happy to divorce windows ... really ... I AM : ) Call it a marriage of convenience.
