Hello,

I hope that you are ok (excuse me for my bad english but I'm french, don't smile please hiii haa  )

More than one year after my post concerning the success of the installation of PC-BSD on my portable (Acer TravelMate 2350),

I'm trying to make function my wireless card (LinkSYS WPC54G).

My only question is:

- How activate the pcmcia port on my laptop because my card appears to be not function (not init : the two lights is off) with the starting of PC-BSD.

Thanks.

Hello Olivier,

Have you done anything esle than put the PCMCIA wifi card in is connector ?

I mean, install driver with ndisgen for example, etc...

I successfully install a PCMCIA card Netgear WG511 on an "old" laptop.

I have the same problem. I looked at your blog link, but it is all greek to me. I'm a supernoob at this PCBSD. It seemed like everything else automatically installed and worked, sound, video, even the built in NIC (Thinkpad A30).

But just like the first post, I have no lights at all on the Wireless Linkssys WRC45G ver 3

Basically I need a step by step setup for noobs. Such as a PBI that will just do it for me. I think my first major hurdle will be getting the card powered.

Thanks for any help.
