Hello

Congratulations for this great job. Several times ago I tried to install FreeBSD + KDE unsuccessfull, but I've installed PC-BSD (over vmware) and is super-easy and very nice :D'

So I want to install it on a old laptop (IBM Thinkpad i14xx, 128 MB RAM, Cel400), but I have a problem: the CD-ROM device is unable to boot any SO setup :?(I had yet this problem installing other Linux distros and even Windows 2000), but I can install if I boot from floppy:) (I've installed Mandrake 10 and Kubuntu using this procedure).

Can I install PC-BSD starting setup from a FreeBSD floppy?

Best regards, and keep on the good work.

Hello

Well, STFW I've found a free loader that enabled my old laptop to boot from CD-ROM.

http://btmgr.sourceforge.net/3.7/

Note: Security issues don't let it work on Windows 2000/XP (maybe NT don't, too), so boot from MS-DOS diskette and run.
Note2: Be careful installing PCBSD boot manager. I didn't installed. I presume that will overwrite the btmgr setup (not tested, but is probable).

See you...
