Im only using 1 desktop. How do I get rid of the destop pager. I can click on it and uncheck the options to show different stuff and make it trancparent but when I use a dark background it shows up outlined in white.
Thanks
omq= also, is there a way to make the background of the taskbar transparent?
I was using a Linux Distro called Underground Desktop thats based on debian and it was like that.
Thanks again

To remove the multi desktops from the panel, first reduce the number of desktops to 1, unless you want to switch with key combos (this is not needed, but if you accidentally switch to another desktop it could get confusing : )
Right click on desktp - configure desktop - multiple desktops - set this to 1.
**************
To remove the desktop pager from the panel
Right click panel - remove from panel - applet - Desktop previewer and pager
**************
To make the panel transparent
Right click panel - configure panel - appearance - click - enable transparency.
Set the level of transparenct with the "Advanced Options" button - tint colour black or white set to VERY transparent can look quite nice - just a hint of panel. but not intrusive.
set "Applet Handles" to Hide
Right click on the clock if you have it displayed and spend the next year and a half trying to get it looking OK with a transparent background : )
I have NO IDEA how to stop the applications running from having a background colour though.

Thanks, that worked. I had all of that except the next to last item.
If anybody knows how to get rid of the last part please post help.
Thanks again
