Im using PC-BSD ONLY (NO windows at all now) I went from linux distro to distro and now this.
My question is when you first boot it shows F1 default, how do I get rid of that and have it boot automatically without hitting F1.
Single user.
Thanks

You just do not need bootmanager.

The simplest way to fix that (IMHO) is to do the following:
type sysinstall in the console, select Configure -> Fdisk set cursor on your PCBSD slice, press "S" to set it bootable, "W" and Yes to write the changes. In the next menu select Standart and then quit sysinstall.

Work greater with original FreeBSD install disk (i have some strange problem when trying to get bootmanager back in PCBSD booted from vmware).

I get to the W and it tells me it cant write to disk.

I get same error when runing sysinstall inside installed PCBSD.Try to boot from installation disk, then Alt+F2 to second console, login as root and run sysinstall. This works for me perfectly.

When I do that it just sits there. Im using the latest download if that makes a differance. I boot the cd and then a bunch of choices comes up and its on a timer, when I hit Alt-F2 the timer just repeats whatever second its on.
If I reinstall and it gets to the part of using bsd loader or leaving MBR alone what should I use? There should be a way to tell it there. Like fdisk.
Thanks
