CD won't boot on Dell Dimension P133v

Tried to install on Dell Dimension P133v (Pentium 133) machine with 64MB of RAM, 6.4GB HDD and S3 video. The machine begins to boot from the CD, but resets before the bootloader finishes.

Is my hardware not cutting it, or what?

Can you see any errors, i have booting problems with my hardware that will show the error message and then "rebooting...." message, does this happen to you also?

I am having this same issue on a new Sony Vaio laptop. Starts to read the cd and then because I have now wiped the drive of the os that was on the machine I end up at

grub>

I tried putting in another gnu/linux cd (Ubuntu) and the machine comes up to the boot prompt to begin the Ubuntu install.
