Having just installed PCBSD with out a hitch and looking apply settings that i like i came accross i would like to remedy. If you hadn't guessed it. Its KRandRTray. I can't select the resolution that i want to use. I want to select 1440X1050 but the highest resolution available is 1024x800 which is a little too blotchy for my liking.
So the first thing i did was look in the XF86Config config file. The one thing i noticed was that the references to screen and the moniter where screen0 and monitor0 but in KRandRTray the screen that is selected is screen1.
Is this a bug?
If not where can i find the config file to set the appropriate screen resolutions.
As i can't stand the 1024X800 resolution i am posting this using a windows XP machine with a reasonible resolution. Screen resolution is a key point on OS choice, that and performance.
Graphics card is S3 2D/3D based monitor is capable of such high resolutions.
Any help greatfully received.
