View Full Version : File manager
I think we need a new file manager because Konqueror it's too general in its purpose (KDE needs to run on every *nix). I take a look to Xandros file manager and installed Xandros and saw that file manager and tested it and "wow it rocks". See for yourself: http://www.consultingtimes.com/articles ... nager.html (http://www.consultingtimes.com/articles/xandros/filemanager/filemanager.html)
I think something similar will enhance the desktop and make the user's life more easier.

I think this is better:
- Maxtor HDD
- Root
- Swap
- Seagate HDD
- Downloads
- Music
etc...

it would be nice when we could switch to the mode like this http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/screenshots/alt/total_small.png
but i donīt know a program where you can use both views.

btw, You can switch between views in KDE. How? Use the view profile mode.
A bit complicated.

Most users are clueless about who is their hard drive manufacturer. :)
