View Full Version : Dell Latitude c610
Hi peoples,
Would PC-BSD run on this laptop, Dell Latitude c610?
PENTIUM III-M 1 GHz
512Mb (which I will be upgrading)
20Gb HDD (upgrade later)
ATI M6-P 16 MB Graphics card
Thanks
Tom

A P3 1Ghz /w 512MB of memory & 20GB is plenty if your hardware is supped well (like sound, wireless e.t.c.) but I don't know how well the Graphics card would work but it should be usuable with the vesa or generic "ati" driver in the system.

Ok, Thankyou for your reply.
Sound, not essestial though would be nice to have it working. Wireless, not likely.

I would think that would be a perfectly serviceable system. I have a system that is a 900mhz "overclocked" Celeron with 768mb of RAM and an old ati 9600 video card and it works just fine. Not sure about the sound, although those older generation computers tend to be supported just fine.

Aside from a slight crackle to the sound card my oldest PC is the only one to run PC-BSD without ever complaining :-)
My newest runs into some issues when dual booting BSDs hehe.
