View Full Version : install problems

I know this is the wrong form, but I am waiting for my registration to go though, lol

I am attempting to install PCBSD 0.7.8 in my computer and before it gets to the menu to start the graphical install I get the error (well the last text on my screen):

pmap_mapdev couldn’t allocate kernel virtual memory
cpu id = 0

My machine is a 3 GHz hyper threading (turned on) P4 1 Gb of Ram a AGP Nvidia 6800 GT with a Liteon DVD burner and a WD 20gb HD. Realtek onboard sound and and realtek onboard gb NIC

However PCBSD works fine in a VM 5.0 mcahine…….

Any ideas?

Thank You

Me and jozmak got the same problem, we haven't found a workaround though. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next release :)
