First of all, I just want to say that the support I've been shown from all the PC-BSD users and fans out there has been tremendous. I'm very grateful that the project has taken off so well, but with that I’ve started to become very busy keeping up with things. To help out with this, I’ve asked a good friend of mine, Mike Albert, to be the official “Community Manager” for PC-BSD. Mike will be taking over responsibility for the Forums, FAQ’s, and screening / checking .pbi’s that are uploaded for hosting.
Mike can be reached here:

P.S. This doesn’t mean I’m going to stop checking the boards, far from it. :) But this will free up some much needed development time. As usual, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at kris@pcbsd.com

Thanks Kris for the honor!~ I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of the awesome PC-BSD users and fans out there and let you know that I look forward to working with everyone as PC-BSD meets its current goals...driven by you! Keep up the great work all! :D
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Best regards always.

Hi Malbert.
I was begining to think that Kris was in danger of "spontaneous human combustion" or "I dunno, he just kinda blew-up" syndrome. It's nice to see someone to take some pressure off.
Now it's YOUR turn : )
You may have noticed how active these boards are, quite amazing for such a new project, and the speed with which people start offering advice.
Welcome aboard the PC_BSD rollercoaster : )

Hi Mike! Welcome, you're already our friend :)
Are you also a core PC-BSD developper?
Kris, don't worry, we'll keep in touch along the PC-BSD development!
Big Texas welcome to you Mike and Thank you for your willingness to help.

Strange that I have got no response from developers to my mail about how to get source or cvs access.

Sorry about that, normally I reply to these things, but maybe the spam filter got it :)
You can always download the source for my custom tools from the sourceforge site.

I see PC-BSD Installer 0.7.5 June 25, 2005. Where is 0.7.8?
Why point me to cvs when you don't use it???

Because i'm a lazy bum, and didn't know anybody needed the source that quickly :P Anyway, it should be online now, feel free to check the sourceforge page again. I've been swamped here, trying to get stuff ready to go to OSCON this year.
Kris, your no lazy bum and every one on this fourm knows it with the exception of maybe one.
Your doing a fantastic job...don't forget to take time to smell the roses now and then.
